And, if your journey takes you across the Canadian border on Amtrak lines, you can continue to enjoy that discount on services jointly operated by Amtrak and VIA Rail Canada so long as you are over the age of 60!

This offer is valid until the end of 2020, so why not take a year exploring different American destinations and taking in their varied sights and sounds? After seeing all there is to see in the United States, head north to Canada and enjoy their warm hospitality while discovering their similar yet unique culture.

To claim your discount, just show a valid proof of age when you purchase your train ticket, keeping your ID handy for onboard ticket inspections as well.
