Free Doughnut for National Doughnut Day (6/7 Only)

Commemorated to honor the heroism of the over 250 Salvation Army women who cooked doughnuts for soldiers at the frontlines during World War I, the first Friday of June is one of two days recognized as National Doughnut Day. To celebrate the occasion, Krispy Kreme is giving away one free doughnut to anyone who visits a participating store today.

Visiting a Krispy Kreme today can also help you get another free doughnut later this month. As part of the same promotion, Krispy Kreme is holding another free doughnut day in June if it manages to give away 1 million free doughnuts today.

Also, mark November 11 on your calendar. That's the second National Doughnut Day, and while some stores only choose to honor the first Friday of June as the official National Doughnut Day (especially because of its more noble beginnings), Krispy Kreme has been known to give away free doughnuts on both days.
